Lunch will be available for purchase in the show hall both days or you can bring in your own food. Smoking is not allowed in the show hall. The show hall is handicapped accessible and climate controlled.

Transportation: National (DCA) is 40 minutes from the show hall, Thurgood Marshall BWI (BWI) and Washington Dulles (IAD) are airport options, both are approximately 1 hour and 30 minues from the show hall. Transportation to / from the airport will need to be arranged using a rental car. Please make appropriate arrangements.

 

Show Hours: Check-in will be from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Saturday and Sunday. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 AM both days. Seminars will begin at 1 PM. The seminars are 30-50 minutes long. We'll have breaks in between. No cats may be left overnight in the show hall. CEUs will be awarded for the attending the presentations.  THIS IS FOR the EXHIBITORS to learn, share and enjoy!

 

Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained fromTICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org.

 

Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not required to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and annual awards, Championship cats, kittens, alters, and household pet kittens and adults must be registered before their second show. Information about registration can be obtained from TICA, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551, (512) 428-8046 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org.

 

Awards: Rosettes or plaques will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules.

 

Health Requirements: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from the show hall, along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one (21) days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Declawed cats are eligible for entry.

 

Kittens: All kittens (pedigreed or HHP) entered for competition must be at least four (4) and less than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. No kitten under three (3) months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age, such as TICA litter registration ). Kittens may be spayed or neutered.

 

Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household pets eight (8) months of age and older MUST be spayed or neutered. 

 

Benching & Supplies: Only one benching request will be honored. Agent request take priority over benching request. Clerks will be benched first. Each entry will be provided a single benching cage measuring 22" L x 22" W x 22" H and are provided with each entry. Full cage size is 44" L x 22" W x 22" H. You may pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage for your cat. Note: If you are bringing your own cage, you must pay for an even number of single benching spaces. TICA rules allow no more than two (2) kittens or one (1) cat benched in a single cage. No kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours. All cages must be covered on the sides and top. You may want to bring a rug, blanket, etc., for the bottom of the cage and other items to make your cat feel more comfortable. You will need to bring litter pan(s), food bowls, and food. Litter will be provided.

 

For Sale / Exhibition Cages: Sales / exhibition cages will be available ONLY to exhibitors with other cats entered for competition.

Payment: By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether you attend the show or not. Entry fees are NOT refundable or transferrable. Fees must be received no later than the closing date of June 12, 2017. Payment at the door is by prior arrangement with the entry clerk only, and must be made in cash. Entries belonging to exhibitors on TICA's Temporary or Permanent Suspension lists will not be accepted. Capital Cat Club will pursue any debt owed us to the extent of TICA show rules and Maryland law.

Clerks & Stewards: If you are interested in clerking, please indicate so on the summary sheet, along with any judge preference. TICA licensed clerks will be given preference and judge requests will be honored to the best of our ability. Clerks will be compensated $35 per day plus lunch and a fully marked catalog via email. Clerks may elect to accept one free entry, double cage, free seminar attendance and lunch in exchange for clerking both days. You will be compensated at the end of the show on the day you clerk. Stewards are also needed and will be compensated $20 per day plus lunch. Please let us know on the summary sheet if you have someone available to steward. Please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry fee.

 

Ring Sponsorships: Ring sponsorships are available for $50 per ring. Act now, so that you can choose your favorite judge to sponsor!!

Liability: Capital Cat Club, The International Cat Association (TICA), Capital Clubhouse, and the show hotel will not be held liable for loss, theft, accident / injury to animals, personal property, exhibitors, or their guests.

1. I will enter my cat(s) at my own risk, subject to the conditions in the Show Rules of THE INTERNATIONAL CAT ASSOCIATION and will abide by the rulings of the Show Committee.

2. I am at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a binding legal contract. If you are not 18 years old or older or over 18 but cannot enter into a binding legal contract, a parent or guardian must complete the online forms.

3. I understand that submission of one or more Entries and / or a Summary Form accompanying this flyer constitute an agreement to pay for my entries even if I fail to bench.

4. I will send payment via PayPal or mail a check payable to Capital Cat Club covering the entry fees for this show within 24 hours of submitting the form(s) or by the closing date of the show (whichever comes first) to the designated Entry Clerk.
